Youth in Action 60th Performance Summary

Youth in Action’s 60th performance at Amica Arbutus Manor on Sunday,

March 9th 2025 was extremely memorable. The event consisted of a wide variety of skilled performers each performing their own unique talents, including pianos, dances, singing, clarinet, violin, etc. We are incredibly grateful for their effort and time spent for planning and practicing for preparation.

Interestingly, many incidents happened during the performance; For instance, one of the hosts was late to the event so a performer had to step in as substitution. Additionally, two groups of performers informed us at the last minute that they were unable to attend the performance, while another two had to change their performance order on short notice. This really trained and tested the MC’s - Lee and Sonia’s improvisation skills to adapt to the new performing order on-spot.

Fortunately, the MC’s were able to smoothly transition between the performers and

effectively manage the changes.

After the event concluded, performers went and conducted conversations with the audience members. Many attendees, who were mainly composed of senior

residents from the Amica Arbutus Manor, told us that they had deeply enjoyed the

performance, especially the upbeat and energetic pieces that were played as they

brought a sense of delight and energy into the atmosphere. In summary, with the fascinating performances and efforts of the MC’s, the performance proved to be a success.

2025年3月9日周日在Arbutus Manor 老人院举行的"Youth In Action” 第六十次慰问演出令人难忘。本次活动汇聚了钢琴、舞蹈、声乐、单簧管、小提琴等多种艺术形式的精彩表演，我们衷心感谢每位表演者为筹备演出所付出的时间与努力。

此次演出过程中出现了多个突发状况：主持人因故迟到需由演员临时顶替、两组演员临时缺席、另有两组演员需要紧急调整演出顺序。这些突发事件充分考验了主持人Lee 与Sonia的临场应变能力。值得庆幸的是，两位主持人凭借出色的控场能力，确保了节目流程的顺畅衔接。

演出结束后，青年演员们与现场观众进行了亲切交流。老人们纷纷表示，特别钟爱那些充满青春活力的演出节目，年轻艺术家的热情演绎为活动现场注入了蓬勃朝气。整场演出通过精彩的节目编排和主持人专业的现场把控，最终取得圆满成功。
